Pacquiao vs De La Hoya Fight Results: Manny Pacquiao Went to the Gym

Manny Pacquiao went to the gym, and had a great time boxing his sparring partner Oscar de la Hoya. Seriously, it was a fight dominated by the Pacman from start to the end of 8th round. Oscar came in surprisingly weaker, and landed too few punches to hurt Pacquiao.

Pacquiao was just too quick, and landed a total of 224 punches of the 584 thrown at De La Hoya. Likewise, De La Hoya only made 83 punches out of the 402 thrown at Manny, a dismal 21% conversion as against Pacquiao’s 38% performance.

Pacquiao landed a strong upper cut to Oscar de la Hoya’s nose in the second round and another punch that left a cut in his left eyebrow. The bleeding have made the situation even worse for the Golden Boy, who barely landed solid punches until the fight stoppage at the end of 8th round, when probably avoiding a potential knockout, De La Hoya’s corner called in to stop the fight.
