Mad Science

By Wikipedia.org
Mad Science is a franchise company that specializes in edutainment for children by presenting science in a fun and entertaining way that sparks imaginative learning. Mad Science programs include after school workshops, birthday parties, school assemblies, and summer camps.
Programs are designed for children from pre-school to middle school age on topics such as light, sound, electricity, magnetism, anatomy, optics, chemistry, space technology and robotics. Children are given hands-on activities combined with discussion and demonstrations to meet specific learning objectives while learning in a fun and challenging environment.
Mad Science also offers theatrical science presentations through Mad Science Productions, and produced a series of science adventure books with Scholastic Press.
Mad Science was founded in March 1990 by two Canadian undergraduates, Ariel and Ron Schlien. Franchises have now spread throughout the United States and Canada, as well as countries in Europe, Asia and South America.
North American franchisees deliver over 200,000 presentations a year, and reach over 4.8 million children and their families. Combined with touring shows, cross-promotions with partners—the Kennedy Space Center, Scholastic, and others—and continual national and local media attention, Mad Science achieves over 200 million consumer impressions per year.
